8th Grade Disneyland Field Trip

We are excited to announce that this year, Greenspun Junior High School is planning a one-day trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, for all eligible 8th-grade students. This trip will be in addition to our End-of-Year Awards Ceremony and the 8th Grade Dance. We will have 100 spots available to 8th-grade students. Any student who signs up after the initial 100 will be placed on a waiting list.
Trip Date: Monday, May 11, 2026 (excused school absence)
Return: Early Morning, Tuesday, May 12, 2026
Additional Excused Absence: Tuesday, May 12, 2026
Total Cost per Student: $250
Payment Schedule
November 3, 2025 (on or before): $85 deposit
The initial deposit must be made in person at the main office with the banker.
Accepted payment methods: Cash (no fee), Check (no fee), Card (4% fee), and Apple Pay (4% fee).
Once the first payment is made in person, all remaining payments may be submitted online via the school webstore.
January 9, 2026 (on or before): $85 payment
February 23, 2026 (on or before): $80 final payment
Refund Deadline: March 1, 2026-Last day for a full refund.
Please note: After March 1, 2026, refunds will not be issued. However, students who have paid but are unable to attend will still receive their Disneyland ticket, which will remain valid for up to one year from the purchase date.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate, 8th-grade students must meet the following expectations from the start of the school year through the end of Quarter 3 (March 13, 2026):
Academic Requirements
Passing grades (A-D) in all classes on all quarter and semester report cards
Satisfactory citizenship (O-S) in all classes on all quarter and semester report cards
Attendance Requirements
No more than 12 total absences
No Denial of Credit in Semester 1
No more than 6 total tardies for third quarter
Behavior Requirements
No out-of-school suspensions
No more than 2 In-House suspension days
No more than 6 Minor Behavior Incidents (MBIS)
The school banker is currently accepting deposits for this exciting trip. Remember: the first payment must be made in person, but subsequent payments may be made online through the school webstore. Please download and fill out the attached field trip forms to turn in to the banker, along with your first payment.
We will host a parent information meeting early next year to share additional details and timelines.
