Bike Safety Event April 18

The City of Henderson is partnering with local schools and community partners to offer free hands-on safety and skills workshops for students who ride bicycles, e-bikes and e-scooters. Participants will also receive free bike and scooter safety equipment, including helmets and bike lights.

 

Location: Hank Greenspun Junior High School, 140 N Valle Verde Drive

Date/Time: April 18, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

 

Who Can Participate

  • Students in grades 6–12

  • Must attend a Henderson public, charter, or private school

  • 15 students per session (limited space), but parents encouraged to attend with their children

 

What Students Will Learn

  • Safe operation of bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters

  • Basic traffic laws and safety rules

  • How to ride safely on streets and shared paths

  • Skills to build confidence and awareness around other road users
