Cheer: Help us send off our Varsity Cheerleaders at the home basketball game on Thursday, January 18.  The Varsity Cheerleaders will be performing their award winning competition routine at the boy's basketball half time on Thursday, January 18th.  Support your Cheerleader Champions before they leave for NCA Nationals in Dallas, TX!

Robotics:  Saturday, January 6th was an amazing day for our robotics teams at the “Fun at the Library" Tournament.  Teams A,B, and X all made it to the finals. Team B won the Build Award, Team C won the Innovate Award, and Team A walked away with the top award Excellence and Teamwork Champions! For the first time, ALL of our teams have won a tournament award in a single season. and Team A has won every top award in a single season!  Go Dolphins!

A huge thank you to everyone who came to support Greenspun Robotics at our Panera Bread dinner night!  It was wonderful to see all of the families, and Panera said it was their biggest dinner night ever! We are so grateful for our phenomenal Greenspun community!

Dolphin Stickers: Congratulations to all of our Greenspun Students who earned Straight O's for 2nd quarter.  Stickers will be distributed Friday, January 12, during your lunch time. Please stop by the tables located outside the Library before you go into the lunchroom and show your student ID. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Lopez.

Grading Policy Update: In order to assist students in preparing for their future endeavors and in becoming responsible citizens, Greenspun has changed the late work policy.  Students will now have five school days from when the assignment is due to submit their missing work. Students may submit late work without a penalty during the five-day grace period. Teachers will not grade work submitted after the five-day window. Click here for more information.

School IDs and Lanyards: As part of Greenspun’s school-wide safety plan, students must wear their school IDs and lanyards daily.  No students will be admitted to class without them. Students who forgot or lost either of these items, can purchase them in The Student Success Office or Library before or after school, as well as during their lunch period.

Since the school’s web store is currently unavailable, students will have to pay with cash. The cost is $1.00 for each item. Students who do not have an ID and lanyard will receive instruction in our In-House program until they are able to obtain their IDs and/or lanyard.

Please contact the office if you have questions or concerns.

GVHS Preview Night: ATTENTION 8th GRADE STUDENTS: Green Valley High School Gator Preview Night is just around the corner, (January 30). Be sure to mark it down on your calendar.

Artist Spotlight: In December, Ms. Reusch's talented art students embraced a multitude of techniques and discovered new ways to express their creativity. Focusing on honing their skills, they delved into breaking down subjects into smaller shapes, an approach that significantly enhanced their drawing abilities. Applying this newfound knowledge, students crafted three-dimensional bows using oil pastels and skillfully added highlights and shadows for a lifelike effect. Intermediate students explored the intricacies of two-point perspective, unlocking the secrets to creating depth and precision in their drawings by aligning objects with vanishing points. They then had the opportunity to showcase their architectural prowess, opting to create anything from gingerbread houses to diverse structures of their choice. The month of December was truly filled with artistic exploration and growth!
