Principal's Message:
Greenspun Junior High School has a multitude of courteous, kind, successful, and outstanding students who walk through our doors on the daily. There are not enough adjectives to describe the dedication and work ethic they demonstrate in academics, the arts, sports, and other extracurricular activities.
Their work is not over when the dismissal bell rings as evidenced by the many awards our students have earned in various competitions throughout the year. From superior ratings for the band, choir, and orchestra; national titles for our cheerleaders and color guard; a showcase title for our yearbook, an undefeated season for our boy’s soccer team, to a world championship title for our robotic kids…these are just a few of the many examples of Greenspun Greatness and our amazing students!
Students, thank you for your dedication and strong work ethic as you spend endless hours preparing for excellent performances and hard-fought prestigious titles at endless competitions.
Parents, thank you for your support and the countless hours you spend making sure your children are prepared with the behind the scene necessities.
Teachers and coaches, thank you for making it all happen. Without you and your assistants, our programs would not be top-notch. I have said this countless times. “These kids, our staff, and our community are second to none!” I am honored and blessed to be the proud principal of Greenspun Junior High School!

Soccer: Congratulations to our boys soccer team. They broke Greenspun Junior High records by having the longest winning soccer season in school history and ended the season as one of the top four teams in the city! We look forward to seeing what this team can do next year.
Student Success: Come check out this fun corner of the SSC! Our student aides did a fabulous job of displaying all 50 states through their creative recondition of stamps that contain aspects of each state. Great work everyone!
Sports: Are you interested in playing sports next year? Make sure you have created a "Register My Athlete" account on https://www.aktivate.com/ and filled out all of the necessary forms, including the physical (which must be conducted by a physician) prior to attending tryouts. If you do not have your Register My Athlete portal completed, you will not be allowed to try out! We can't wait to see you next year!
Robotics World Championships: Congratulations to our GJHS Robotics team A, who traveled to Dallas, Texas, to participate in the largest robotics competition in the world, where they represented Greenspun, Henderson, and the state of Nevada! Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, and check out the highlight video below!
Jazz Band Auditions: Attention all drummers, guitarists, bassists and pianists! Would you like to learn a new style of music? Would you like to join an award-winning group of gifted young musicians? The Greenspun Jazz Band will be holding auditions after school May 13th-16th. See Mr. Martinez in room 602 before or after school for audition materials!

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: Do you want an easy and fun way to celebrate your child's birthday at school? For $15, we will display a short message on the outdoor digital marquee to help celebrate the day. Additionally, a bag of treats and a personalized birthday card will be delivered to your child during the school day. All funds raised help support Greenspun clubs and activities.
