Principal’s Message:
At Greenspun, we believe that one of the best ways to help students succeed is through parent involvement. That’s why the School Organizational Team (SOT) is so important.
The SOT helps guide decisions that impact student achievement, school culture, and the overall direction of our school. The team is made up of administrators, teachers, and parents working together to ensure that the members of our school community have a voice in our students’ educational journeys.
We are currently in the process of forming our team for the 2025-26 school year. Today is the last day for parent nominations. If you are interested in serving on the team—or know another parent who would be a great representative—please take a moment to submit a nomination on the SOT page of our website.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to serve. Your insight and perspective help ensure that the choices we make reflect the needs of our students and families.
Events & Honors:
Picture Retake Day: Picture Retake Day is Friday, September 19, 2025 inside the Little Theater. CLICK HERE to order photo packages!
7th Grade Health Screening: The annual vision, hearing, height and weight screening is scheduled for September 26th and 29th. This state-mandated screening will be conducted for 7th grade students only. This screening consists of distance vision, hearing, and height/weight screening. These screenings in no way duplicate or replace a professional eye exam. They are designed to detect problem areas. If the school nurse identifies a possible problem, you will be notified by written referral. It is important that your child attend school on the screening days. If your child wears glasses, please remind him/her to bring them. Please contact the school nurse at (702) 799-0920 ext 4021 or email ebertr@nv.ccsd.net if you have any questions about this requirement or wish to decline the screening.
Green and Blue Days: Please wear your Green and Blue to support our athletes on Cross Country and Flag Football on September 3,10,11,25, and 29. Thank you Stu Co.
Best Buddies: Best Buddies will have their second meeting on Sept 25th at 2:15 in room 312! Everyone is welcome.
Color Guard: Open Practices are in the Cafeteria Tuesdays/ Wednesdays from 2:30-4:30. Auditions are September 24, 2025
Personal Property: The school is not responsible for any personal property of students or their families. Students should not bring valuable items to school. If students bring personal items to school, they do so at their own risk. The school is not obligated to investigate lost or stolen items. Webstore: The online webstore is now available! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to add items for payment. Parents and guardians must create an account and add their child with a student ID number before they can make payments on the webstore. CLICK HERE to visit the new online webstore!
Absence notes: Parents, please submit absence notes within three days, by clicking on the Attendance icon on our homepage at greenspunjhs.com.
BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: Do you want an easy and fun way to celebrate your child's birthday at school? For $15, we will display a short message on the outdoor digital marquee to help celebrate the day. Additionally, a bag of treats and a personalized birthday card will be delivered to your child during the school day. All funds raised help support Greenspun clubs and activities. Infinite Campus Parent portal/Student portal: Parents, please continue to monitor your child’s grades in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need an activation code, please contact the office for assistance.
