Assistant Principal's Message
“Make it a habit to tell people, ‘thank you.’ To express your appreciation sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.” —Ralph Marston
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of life. Everyone is busy, some overwhelmed, others going through difficult situations. It’s easy to forget the positive things and get caught up with the busy and the chaos. Next week, during the days we have off for Thanksgiving, take the time to take a deep breath, look around you, and be thankful for the positive in your life. There is a lot of good in the world if you take the time to find it.
I’ve made the difficult decision to leave Greenspun and transfer to an elementary school close to my house. While I am excited for the opportunity, these last two weeks have reminded me of how grateful I am for my experience while I’ve been here. I’m grateful for the administrative team for giving me my first chance at being an assistant principal. I’m grateful for the staff and teachers who work tirelessly every day to educate and care for every student here. I’m grateful for the families I’ve gotten to know through events and calls. And I’m especially grateful for the students who are finding their way in the world and call Greenspun their “second home.”
Take some time to be grateful. I truly am grateful to the Greenspun community. Thank you all for all you do, each and every day.

Safe Routes to School: Parents, please take a moment and complete the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) survey regarding your students' mode of travel to and from school. The survey is for parents with students in grades K-12. If you have more than one child in the Clark County School District (CCSD), attending the same school, please complete one survey only for the eldest student in each school. The survey asks you to check areas that affected your decision to allow your child to walk/bike to school. With this information, we are able to advance the safety education programs we bring to the schools and improve areas along walking/bike routes to your child's school. The survey will only take a moment and does not ask for any names, however, there is a place for comments at the bottom. Surveys are due no later than November 22, 2023. CLICK HERE for the survey!
Artist Spotlight: Ms. Reusch’s Art students created self portraits based on the style of Tim Burton. The original artwork is also on display in the library!
Birthday Greetings: Do you want an easy and fun way to celebrate your child's birthday at school? For $15, we will display a short message on the outdoor digital marquee to help celebrate the day.
