Events & Honors:


DISTRICT SURVEY: The annual Districtwide Survey for parents/guardians will be open from Tuesday, November 1, 2022, through Friday, December 16, 2022. The survey is intended to provide information for Clark County School District (CCSD) and schools regarding progress toward CCSD priorities and to comply with the requirements of the Board of School Trustees and the Nevada Department of Education. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is a vital part of CCSD’s annual self-assessment. The required participation rate threshold is a minimum of 75 percent of all eligible survey takers. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to submit their 2022–2023 Districtwide Parent/Guardian Survey online using a computer, laptop, or other mobile device at https://www.ccsd.net/survey. Any parent/guardian with children in the school is eligible to take the survey.


City of Henderson Winterfest Parade: Greenspun JHS Student Council will be marching in the City of Henderson Winterfest parade on Friday, December 2nd. CLICK HERE for more information!


HOLIDAY CERAMIC ORNAMENT PAINTING EVENT: GJHS is hosting a holiday ceramic ornament painting event on Monday, Nov 28th from 5-7pm. Color me Mine will be bringing all the supplies. All you have to do is come, paint an ornament, and enjoy hot cocoa and candy canes in the multi purpose room! Ornament fee is $15 and includes hot cocoa and candy canes!


Ethel M Choir Performance: Ring in the holiday season with our Madrigal Choir at Ethel M. Chocolates this year! They will be singing there on Friday, December 2nd from 6-7pm. Entrance to Ethel M is only $1 and supports local charities! Hope to see you there.


Yearbooks: 8th grade farewell ads are now on sale! Yearbooks are more than just a history of your child's year- they are a capsule that stirs nostalgia in years, or even decades, down the road. Give your graduating 8th grader something special in their yearbook. Recognize your graduate with a farewell ad! Ads can be purchased and created at jostensyearbooks.com.


Do you have a business you would like to promote? We sell advertisements for our Fine Arts Concert Programs! Please contact houchhc@nv.ccsd.net for more information. All artwork is due by November 30th.


Infinite Campus Parent portal/Student portal: Parents, please continue to monitor your child’s grades in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need an activation code, please contact Stephany Blanco, office manager, or Mr. Slocum, school librarian, for assistance.
