Principal’s Message:

Reading has always been one of my favorite things to do. A good book has a way of transporting us into another world where we can travel to new places, meet unforgettable characters, and experience adventures we might never encounter in everyday life.
That’s why I enjoy Reading Week so much—it’s a chance for all of us to share in a love of stories and celebrate the joy of the written word together.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Reading Week such an enjoyable and engaging time at our school. It is always wonderful to see students spending time with books and sharing what they are reading with one another. Those moments capture the simple joy that a good book can bring.
While Reading Week gives us a chance to celebrate reading, the real goal is to keep it part of our everyday lives. Regular reading helps students build vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, and grow as confident learners.
My hope is that our students carry their love of reading with them and keep finding joy in new adventures on every page.
Thank you to our staff and families for continuing to support reading at home and at school.

GJHS Robotics: Greenspun Robotics had an outstanding weekend as we proudly hosted the VEX IQ Nevada State Middle School Robotics Championship, welcoming teams and spectators from across Nevada for an exciting celebration of STEM and innovation. All six of our Greenspun teams qualified for the state event, more than any other program in Nevada, and four advanced to the Finals. Team C delivered an incredible performance, earning the Skills Champion title, 2nd Place in Teamwork, and the Think Award for excellence in programming. Team X received the Judges Award, recognizing determination and team spirit. Team A earned the prestigious Design Award and will once again represent Greenspun at the VEX IQ World Championship this April in St. Louis, Missouri. We are incredibly proud of these talented students who continue to raise the bar and carry forward Greenspun’s legacy of excellence in robotics and STEM. Thank you to our entire Greenspun community for your continued support in making opportunities like this possible.

PBIS: Students can earn Dolphin Dollar tickets when teachers or administrators recognize respectful, responsible, and safe behavior. Each ticket can be entered into our weekly prize drawing. Beginning Tuesday, students may bring their tickets to the library and place them in the designated buckets for a chance to win prizes. Positive behavior = more tickets = more chances to win!

SBAC Test Prep: It’s time to dive into test prep, Dolphins! We're in the final stretch of the road to proficiency, and we want YOU to start showing off your test-taking skills. Every Tuesday for the first ten minutes of a randomly selected period, every class will complete today’s Ticket of the Day. At that time, you will open your student homepage and click on the SBAC Test Prep Tuesday icon. Remember, these tickets help us sharpen our reasoning skills and show off what Greenspun Dolphins know and can do! Each student who answers BOTH questions will be entered into a drawing for a prize. When you hear the announcement, Dive in, Dolphins!”

NJHS SBAC Tutoring: With SBAC testing coming up, NJHS is starting a Student Tutoring Club next week to help you feel prepared and confident. Students will be tutoring other students in math, reading, writing, and helpful test taking strategies. If you want extra practice or support before the test, this is a great opportunity to get ready and do your best. See Mrs. Hoeg in room 323 for details.
