Principal’s Message:

Assistant Principals Week provides me with the perfect opportunity to recognize Greenspun’s three outstanding administrators. They work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation of the school, maintain a safe environment for our students, and help guide them in making responsible choices.
I am referring to Mr. Vince Bognot, Ms. Katja Hermes, and Ms. Casandra Iglitz, and I would like to give them a special thank you for their dedication and the meaningful work they do each day.
There’s no such thing as a typical day in the role of assistant principals. They wear many hats, but at the heart of each role is their unwavering commitment to students. This is evident as Mr. Bognot, Ms. Hermes, and Ms. Iglitz spends each day problem-solving, supporting students, working with staff, connecting with families, organizing extra-curricular activities, and handling countless unexpected situations—all while keeping what’s best for kids at the center of every decision.
What stands out the most is how effectively they work together and how deeply they care about the Greenspun community. I am grateful for their leadership and the consistency they bring to their profession every day. I appreciate the meaningful roles Mr. Bognot, Ms. Hermes, and Ms. Iglitz play in shaping a respectful, responsible, and safe environment at Greenspun.
Events & Honors:

Online Registration: Online registration opens Monday, April 20 at 8:30am. ALL students must register for the 2026-2027 school year, including students returning to CCSD. CLICK HERE for more information and to register your child!
Self-Contained Classes Community-Based Instruction (CBI) Trip Today, our self-contained classes participated in a Community-Based Instruction (CBI) outing to Smith’s and McDonald’s, where students practiced essential life skills in a real-world setting. Our students truly demonstrated what it means to be Greenspun:
We are Safe – Students practiced proper pedestrian safety by looking both ways, crossing the street carefully, and staying aware of their surroundings.
We are Responsible – At Smith’s, students worked on functional shopping skills by locating different sections such as meat, dairy, and other aisles, while following directions and staying with the group.
We are Respectful – At McDonald’s, students used polite manners, practiced ordering food, waited patiently, and interacted appropriately with staff and peers.
This hands-on experience helped students build independence, confidence, and positive community behavior. We are incredibly proud of how our students represented our school in the community.
Calling All Singers! If you love to sing and want to join one of the top choirs here at Greenspun, here's your opportunity! Ms. Scobie will be holding a Madrigal Audition meeting in the choir room on Tuesday, April 28th. She will teach you the audition songs and give out paperwork. This meeting is MANDATORY to audition. Then the auditions will take place on Thursday, April 30th. If you have any questions, be sure to swing by the choir room to talk to Ms. Scobie!
