Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Although I appreciate teachers every day of the year, next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and I am inviting you to join me in celebrating our amazing Greenspun teachers. The impact of our teachers goes far beyond lessons, assignments, and grades. Yes, they teach content—but they also notice when a student is having a rough day, find new ways to explain something that doesn’t quite make sense, and create spaces where students feel seen, heard, and capable.

Henry Adams once said, “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” That influence is often built quietly in the small, everyday moments—the moment a teacher notices a student is not quite themselves, the quiet encouragement when a student is struggling, and the decision to keep believing in a student even when things get difficult. These moments don’t always show up in a lesson plan, but they are often the ones students remember the most, long after they leave the classroom—and they matter.

As a school community, this is a great time to recognize the educators who make those moments happen every day here at Greenspun. Their work is steady, thoughtful, and incredibly important—and it leaves a lasting mark on our students far beyond the walls of their classrooms.

Parents and students, please let your teachers know that you appreciate them...a quick note, a few sincere words, or even a simple “thank you” can mean more than you might expect.

To our Greenspun teachers: thank you for the caring, dedication, and commitment you bring each day. It does not go unnoticed.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
