Principal’s Message:

Jackie Carducci GJHS Principal
Jackie Carducci GJHS Principal

It is difficult to define a teacher because their role encompasses so much more than delivering lessons from a curriculum. Teachers are motivators, coaches, role models, and those unique humans who can open up a whole new world of learning for children.

I came across an anonymous quote the other day that I thought was the perfect definition of a teacher. "Like gardeners tending seeds, teachers nurture potential, patiently growing dreams into realities that reach far beyond the classroom walls."

Although I appreciate teachers each and every day, next week is Teacher Appreciation Week so I wanted to invite you to join me in celebrating our Greenspun teachers. Our teachers work tirelessly every day to inspire, challenge, and encourage students to embrace a love for learning. Their impact goes far beyond the classroom, and their dedication is endless.

Next week would be the perfect time to let your teachers know that you appreciate them. A simple thank you, a kind note, a heartfelt message…although these things might seem small, they go a long way in letting your teachers know that they are valued.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our amazing Greenspun Teachers!!!

Autism Awareness Month: April is Autism Awareness Month, and we proudly celebrated it with a meaningful Community-Based Instruction (CBI) field trip for our students.  Our destination? One World Interactive Aquarium! The students were incredible—well-behaved, engaged, and excited to learn. They had the opportunity to feed, touch, and even hold various animals. Watching them explore and interact with such enthusiasm was a joy!  After the aquarium, we visited the Boulevard Mall, where students practiced real-world skills by ordering their own meals, receiving their change, and waiting patiently for their food. It was a fantastic experience that blended fun with valuable life lessons. Thank you to our amazing community! We are deeply grateful to our supportive parents, our dedicated ADMIN team, and our SEIF, who ensured we were fully staffed and well-prepared. Special thanks to the Greenspun students for always supporting our fundraising efforts. Your help played a big part in making this trip possible!  This field trip was a wonderful success, and we are excited to continue offering CBI opportunities in the upcoming school year.  Let’s keep learning beyond the classroom!
