Principal’s Message:Â

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the College Football Playoff Foundation (CFPF) for making this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week extra amazing. The CFPF, accompanied by Superintendent Jhone Ebert and other CCSD dignitaries, made a special visit to Greenspun Junior High School to celebrate math teacher Ms. Page Zuniga as an outstanding educator.
The Foundation presented her with the Extra Yard for Teachers Award, a well-deserved recognition of the work she does every day for students. As part of this incredible recognition, Ms. Zuniga received a $1,000 Donors Choose gift card to purchase new instructional resources and upgrade her classroom.
However, the celebration didn’t end there. The CFPF Extra Yard for Teachers (EYFT) Classroom Makeover Program, in partnership with School Specialty, awarded Greenspun with a $50,000 check for a media center makeover that will help create an even more engaging and inspiring learning environment for students. The goal of the makeover is to transform an area of the school into a modern learning space by providing updated resources, technology, and an innovative learning environment.
A special thank you to the College Football Playoff Foundation and School Specialty for their generous investment in educators and schools. We are so excited to begin our makeover! Opportunities like these make a lasting impact on both teaching and learning, and we truly appreciate you!

Robotics World Finals: Last week your Greenspun Robotics Team 11110A returned from the VEX World Robotics Championship. Pride is an understatement because for the third year straight, Team 11110A returned with a world award, VEX World Champions Judges Award. The team beyond deserves this award and were recognized throughout the event as an elite team to look up to. Others took photos with them all event and the inventor and co-founder of VEX himself sought the team out and spent a significant amount of time talking about robotics. In the end he asked if they would beta test a brand new piece of technology VEX is working on. We are proud of our programs Legacy of Excellence and am overwhelmed at the level of character and leadership this team of engineers represented Greenspun with. Go Dolphins!

NJHS Induction: Congratulations to all of the NJHS Greenspun Chapter inductees! These students have been officially inducted into the National Honor Society. The 8th graders will go into the high school chapter and the 6th and 7th graders will continue with the Junior Honors. They have worked hard to represent the five pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. Through their hours of commitment to the community and their education, they have become true leaders in school.
