Principal’s Message

As we end the school year, I would like to pay tribute to our eighth grade students. I am not sure how many of our students read the Parent Newsletter, so I am asking that you please share this message with them.

To the eighth grade class: 

Thank you for the energy, the spirit, and the memories you've brought to our hallways. Life as a junior high student is not always easy, but you have managed to make it through three years of academics, extracurricular activities, lack of sleep, and lots of middle school drama.

What is the most exciting is that each of you has your own success story. It isn’t always about who has the highest grades or who has accomplished the most. It’s about how you have embraced your struggles, learned from mistakes, and demonstrated growth as individuals. It’s about how each of you, uniquely, added to your success story during your middle school experience.

As you move on to high school, have confidence that you can be the best version of yourself.  Celebrate your wins and continue to pursue your dreams, despite the challenges.

I am blessed to have been a part of your  journey, and I can’t wait to see the many successes you will add to your stories.

Events & Honors:

Congratulations to the following students who were recognized at the 8th grade Awards ceremony on Thursday, May 22: 

Final Grades: Final Grades are now available in Infinite Campus Portal

Summer Office Hours: Greenspun will be open during the summer for registration, returning checked out items, and general information from 8am - 2pm each weekday.  We will be closed on Memorial Day, June 19th, and July 4th holidays.

Online Registration: The Online Registration System will be available in English & Spanish starting Monday, April 21, 2025. The first day of the 2025-26 school year is Monday, August 11, 2025. All students must register every school year.  CLICK HERE to register and for more information. 

2025-26 Boys Flag Football Information: Hi, my name is coach Gary Herring, also known as Coach G. I will be the new Greenspun JHS boys flag football coach this year. For the past four years I have been the JV head coach at Green Valley High school. I played football for over 15 years, and I have coached for almost ten years. If you are reading this, you or your parents have an interest in playing flag football at Greenspun for the upcoming school year! For more information, please click the QR Code listed below for the band app. It will be the main source of communication for practices, games, or any type of Information needed in regards to our flag football program. 2025-26 Student Athlete Registration: Student Athlete Registration for the 2025–2026 school year is now open. All student-athletes must register online prior to trying  out for a sport. Parents will do the majority of the registration process, but students will need to read and e-sign  documents. It is helpful to have the student available during this process.  CLICK HERE for more information!

GVHS Concussion Baseline Testing: GVHS will have mandatory C3 Logix concussion baseline testing for Fall sports which will include all levels of Football, Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ Soccer, and Cheerleading. You may come at any time during the allotted time frame. If you are unable to make it, you will need to be tested once the season starts, and depending on the amount of incoming student-athletes, this could cause you to miss practice or scrimmages.

• Place: GVHS Gymnasium 

• Who: Football, Soccer, Cheerleading

Webstore: The online webstore is now available! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to add items for payment.  Parents and guardians must create an account and add their child with a student ID number before they can make payments on the webstore. CLICK HERE to visit the new online webstore!

Infinite Campus Parent portal/Student portal: Parents, please continue to monitor your child’s grades in Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  If you need an activation code, please contact the office for assistance.
