Principal’s Message:

This week, our students took an important step in understanding their academic progress as they completed their first i-Ready Diagnostic in English Language Arts and mathematics. I-Ready is our new assessment platform, replacing MAPs. While the assessment may look a little different, our focus remains the same: understanding where each student is in their learning and using that information to help them demonstrate academic growth.
One of the benefits of i-Ready is that the assessment adjusts to each student’s responses, helping identify strengths, as well as areas for growth. Our ELA and math teachers are using these results to meet individually with students for data chats where they review their scores, set goals, and identify steps for improvement. Teachers will use this information to guide instruction and provide targeted support.
Students will receive their i-Ready score reports in ELA and mathematics next week. We encourage you to review the reports with your child, celebrate their strengths, and ask them about the goals they discussed with their teacher.
Our goal is not just to improve a score, but to help every student recognize where they are, understand where they want to go, and take ownership of the steps needed to get there.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are excited to see our students grow throughout the year—in their skills, confidence, and belief in what they can accomplish.
