Principal’s Message:

Jackie Carducci GJHS Principal
Jackie Carducci GJHS Principal

As we come to the end of the fourth week of school, students should be settling into a steady routine. By now, they should have a clear understanding of classroom expectations and strategies to manage their time effectively, stay organized, and actively engage in their learning.

With this foundation in place, it’s also important to recognize the role that daily attendance plays in keeping students on track. In alignment with CCSD’s Every Day Matters initiative, attending school each day ensures that students keep pace with their classes and stay current with assignments.

Research shows that each day a student misses school increases their likelihood of not graduating; therefore, it is essential that they attend school to avoid interruptions in their learning and to avoid a denial of credit for 10 or more absences.

Parents, we are asking for your support. Please make it a routine to get your children to school, monitor their progress, and encourage them to complete all of their assignments. If you notice they are falling behind, contact their teachers right away so we can address concerns early and keep them moving forward.

We need your support to ensure your children’s success, and we ask you to remind them that Every Day Matters.
