Principal’s Message:

For many of our students, September 11 is something they know only from history books, stories, and lessons in school. It is important that we continue to share its history while helping students understand not only what happened, but also the many acts of courage, kindness, and service that brought people together and showed the strength of our community.

As educators, we have an opportunity to help our students learn from the past and understand that patriotism can be expressed in many ways—through service, kindness, respect, and caring for those around us.

As we reflect on September 11, my hope is that we can teach our students about the impact they can have on others through their own choices and actions. Whether it is serving their school, helping in the community, or simply choosing to treat others with respect, each of us has a part in making our community stronger.

Thank you to our families and staff for helping us to teach these values to our students. These are lessons that will serve them well as they grow into responsible citizens and members of their communities.

Events & Honors:

School Organizational Team: SOT nominations are OPEN until 11:59pm September 11, 2026. Candidate confirmations will take place during the week of September 14-18, and SOT parent elections will take place September 21-25. Please visit www.greenspunjhs.com/sot for more information. The next Greenspun JHS SOT meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 16 in the library.

Panorama Survey: On Tuesday, September 15, all Greenspun students will be taking the Panorama Survey in their assigned English class. The link will be available on the student homepage on students’ Chromebooks.

Best Buddies: Best Buddies will be meeting every other Thursday in room 312 from 1:50 to 2:25. Everyone is welcome!

Cheer: Mark your calendars for 2 exciting events! Raiders representatives will be coming out to our GJHS Flag Football Game on Wednesday September 29th. On Thursday September 30th you can dine with the cheer team at Chipotle from 4-8pm. More details to come. We hope to see you there!

Hazel Health: Hazel Health is now offered to all students online and in the Greenspun health office. Using Hazel Health in the health office allows your student to talk to a Doctor and receive approved over the counter medication when needed. BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: Do you want an easy and fun way to celebrate your child's birthday at school? For $20, we will display a short message on the outdoor digital marquee to help celebrate the day. Additionally, a bag of treats and a personalized birthday card will be delivered to your child during the school day. All funds raised help support Greenspun clubs and activities. Infinite Campus Parent portal/Student portal: Parents, please continue to monitor your child’s grades in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need an activation code, please contact the office for assistance.
