Principal’s Message:

As the first quarter comes to an end, now is a great time for parents to engage their children in a reflective conversation about their academic performance. I have often found that it is more productive to begin by celebrating their achievements. That is a perfect segway for the next part of the conversation where they can self-reflect on areas of improvement and ways to overcome challenges.
Reminding our children that with a new quarter comes a new beginning is a positive way to build their confidence and provide them with the encouragement that they so desperately need as middle schoolers.
Likewise, reminding them to come to school prepared is an ideal way to help them start the second quarter effectively. Walking into school on time with a charged Chromebook, school supplies, and completed assignments allows them to begin each class on a positive note. It also allows them to keep up with instruction, complete assignments on time, and score higher on assessments.
If students come to school prepared and ready to learn, they will see, first-hand, that they will be successful.
As we approach the new quarter, we will continue to work with you and your children to ensure that they are provided with ample opportunities for success. We thank you for your continued support and love having you as part of our Greenspun community.
