It’s Going To Be A BOOtiful Night!

Some of the best opportunities to connect with our Greenspun community happen outside the regular school day. That is why I am so excited to invite everyone to our Third Annual Trunk-or-Treat on Friday, October 23, from 5:00–8:30 PM.This fun-filled  event gives us a chance to enjoy time with our students and their families in a different setting, share a few laughs, and create memories beyond the classroom.

Families can look forward to decorated trunks filled with candy, kids of all ages wearing creative Halloween costumes, games, music, and local food trucks. The event also gives our clubs, sports teams, and other student groups an opportunity to raise funds for their programs.

The involvement of our Greenspun community helps make these efforts possible, and I’m grateful for everyone who contributes their time and resources. Every bit of support helps provide our students with opportunities to explore their interests and stay involved in the activities they enjoy.

Thank you for your continued support of Greenspun. I hope you’ll join us for a BOOtiful night of Halloween fun and a chance to enjoy all that makes our school community so special. I look forward to seeing you there!

Narrative Writing Awards: Mrs. Hoffert’s 6th Grade English and Reading classes wrapped up Quarter 1 by celebrating student creativity and storytelling during the Narrative Craft Awards this week.  After reading their classmates’ narrative writing pieces, students cast anonymous ballots in five categories recognizing key elements of strong storytelling. The awards gave students an opportunity to recognize the creativity, effort, and writing skills of their peers. Congratulations to this quarter’s Narrative Craft Award winners!

  • Best Dialogue: Austin C.

  • Most Vivid Description: Fatima F.

  • Best Pacing: Pearl B.

  • Strongest Ending: Cole W.

  • Best Character Development: Brandon H.

Each winner received a certificate, a letter home, and a gift card, along with the ultimate reward: bragging rights! The Narrative Craft Awards highlighted the power of peer recognition and celebrated the hard work students put into developing their writing skills. Congratulations to all five winners for standing out as storytellers in Quarter 1!
