Principal’s Message:

The Clock is A-Changing, but the To-Do List Lives On
This Sunday, we turn our clocks back as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end. While an extra hour of sleep is always welcome, the time change also makes me think about how quickly this school year is moving along.
Our days are busy. Between lessons, meetings, activities, and everything else that fills our schedules, it can be easy to move from one thing to the next without stopping to think about how we are using our time. This is where having a routine, planning ahead, and setting priorities can make a difference.
Schedules help provide structure and give us a better sense of what needs to get done and when. Just as important, prioritizing helps us recognize what needs our attention first. We may not always be able to fit everything into one day, but being intentional about our time can help us feel more organized, less overwhelmed, and better prepared. These are important habits for our students to develop, both in the classroom and in their everyday lives.
As we move into November, I also encourage everyone to leave a little room for the unexpected. Not every day goes according to plan, and flexibility is part of learning how to manage our time well. Sometimes, the most important part of the day is the conversation, the extra help a student needs, or the opportunity to slow down and reconnect.
The end of daylight saving time is a good reminder to check our routines, adjust our schedules, and think about making the most of our time. The school year will continue to move quickly, but with a little planning and a clear sense of our priorities, we can make our days more productive and meaningful.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend and a safe and fun-filled Halloween!
