Principal’s Message:

A Special Thanks to our Veterans

I sometimes wonder how many of our students truly understand the significance of Veterans Day. For some, it may simply feel like an extra day off from school, but this  day is about much more. It is a day to recognize the men and women who have served our country and the sacrifices they and their families have made to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As a Purple Star School, Greenspun is especially proud of our military-connected students and families. We recognize the unique experiences of military life and are committed to making sure these families feel valued in our school community.

One way we will demonstrate our appreciation is by marching in the Veterans Day Parade on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. in downtown Las Vegas. We invite our students, families, and staff to join us as we celebrate and honor those who have served our country. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Greenspun Dolphins to come together and  show our support of a community that stands behind our military families.

I hope this Veterans Day encourages our students to look beyond the holiday and take time to understand its meaning. A simple conversation with a veteran or a heartfelt thank you can help remind us all that service and sacrifice should never be taken for granted.

To the veterans and military families in our Greenspun community, thank you for your service and sacrifice. We are proud to honor you!
