Principal’s Message:

A Season to Reflect, Remember, and Appreciate

It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the THINGS associated with the holidays…the gifts, the events, the stress of endless EXPECTATIONS, but these hectic days mean something different for everyone.

For some of us, it can be a time of reminiscing as we think of our loved ones far away or who are no longer with us; for others, it can be a time of reflection, when life has hit harder than normal so holidays don’t look the way we had hoped.

That is why it is so important to take time to cherish the memories of those who are with us in spirit, and at the same time, celebrate those special people in our lives who are only a phone call away or sitting near us.

This is a reminder to you and to myself to think about our blessings as this year comes to an end.

One of my blessings is our Greenspun community. I have witnessed many of you come together to celebrate and support each other, our students, and our staff. I appreciate each and every one of you and am honored to be a part of our wonderful GJHS community.

Regardless of what the holiday season means to you, I hope you and your family take the time to celebrate each other and to count your blessings.

Events & Honors:

Hazel Health: Through Clark County School District's partnership with Hazel Health, all students at your school have access to a pediatric clinician at no cost to your family. These sessions can be initiated at home from any device OR at your school (in the health clinic) during school hours. Please visit https://getstarted.hazel.co/district/ccsd for more information.

8th Grade Disneyland Field Trip: Only 5 spots available for the 8th grade trip to Disneyland on 5/11/26. The trip packets can be picked up in the back office. The field trip forms and the deposit of $85 must be turned in to our School Banker to secure your spot. Any student who signs up after the initial 100 will be placed on a waiting list. Webstore: The online webstore is now available! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to add items for payment. Parents and guardians must create an account and add their child with a student ID number before they can make payments on the webstore. CLICK HERE to visit the new online webstore!

Absence notes: Parents, please submit absence notes within three days, by clicking on the Attendance icon on our homepage at greenspunjhs.com.

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: Do you want an easy and fun way to celebrate your child's birthday at school? For $15, we will display a short message on the outdoor digital marquee to help celebrate the day. Additionally, a bag of treats and a personalized birthday card will be delivered to your child during the school day. All funds raised help support Greenspun clubs and activities. Infinite Campus Parent portal/Student portal: Parents, please continue to monitor your child’s grades in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need an activation code, please contact the office for assistance.
