Principal’s Message:

One of many reasons why our kids are amazing!
At a time when the world can feel negative—when people seem quicker to notice what children do wrong rather than all they do well—it made my heart happy to attend the wonderful Winn-Dixie party hosted by our Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. It was uplifting to experience something so positive and joyful.
With the help of their amazing teacher, Ms. Geiger, the DHH students in her class completed a reading unit on Because of Winn-Dixie, a story that highlights the power of friendship, connection, and finding goodness in unexpected places. Their celebration captured that same spirit beautifully.
Their presentation on Winn-Dixie was thoughtful and engaging, and the activities they prepared were meaningful and fun. Watching their excitement, effort, and pride was truly the highlight of my week. Moments like these are powerful reminders of why the work we do matters and how remarkable our students truly are.
Our students reminded me once again how much goodness is happening in our school every single day. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Geiger for hosting this awesome event to celebrate the importance of reading. In addition, a special thank you to the entire DHH Department for your dedication to your students - Ms. Biesinger, Ms. Walter, and their assistants, Ms. Gilbreath, Ms.Thevenin, and Ms. Wagner.Â
I’m grateful for the amazing kids in our school who bring heart, hope, and inspiration to all.

Events & Honors:
Robotics F1 Field Trip: This past week your Greenspun Robotics program was invited to become part of the F1 crew. Formula1 transported them to the starting line and gave them personal tours and learning sessions right in the pits of the F1 drivers. 5 of our students were chosen to ask questions to the F1 drivers including THE Lewis Hamilton. Kamryn Peterson was interviewed by the Review Journal, and they took part in other engineering experiences. We are proud that our program's reputation and achievements earn them invitations and the respect of the STEM community world wide. We are grateful to F1 for hosting such an amazing experience that helped our young engineers dream even bigger. Check us out in the Review Journal!
